Knowledge, experience, skills ... ready

The Faculty of Management at the University of New Brunswick is a center for experiential learning and entrepreneurial thinking. We provide rigorous theoretical and applied management education for future leaders, by providing knowledge, experience and professional development through innovative offerings and partnerships.

By design our programs provide a solid foundation of business knowledge combined with project-based learning, and personal and career development.

AACSB accredited

In May 2022, the faculty of management was accredited by AACSB International, a recognition received by less than 6 percent of business schools around the world.

Our programs

In our Bachelor of Business Administration program our students gain core knowledge and skills in all functional business areas, as well as an appreciation of their interrelatedness. As they progress through the program they gain more in-depth knowledge and skills for managing organizations, whether businesses or not-for-profits.

Students also gain a fuller understanding for the context in which organizations operate, and have ample opportunities to specialize their study through honours and concentrations, in areas such as accounting (CPA), economics, entrepreneurship, finance, economics and finance, human resources management, international business, and logistics.

Our Master of Business Administration programs offer a professional, experienced and innovative perspective on the business world. Through rigorous academic learning students develop and sharpen their business acumen and through our professional development, entrepreneurial and experiential learning options they realize their potential to lead and create opportunities for themselves, their organizations and their communities.

Besides a general MBA, students can pursue an MBA in Sport and Recreation Management or a joint MBA/JD degree. They can also complete a Concentration in Venture Commercialization, Scaling and Investment or a Concentration in Management Analytics.

Our one-year Master of Quantitative Investment Management (MQIM) program combines finance and investing with applied mathematics, statistics, data analysis and coding to provide students a unique set up of high value skills needed in today’s finance industry.

Course work is combined with professional development and experiential learning to produce graduates who are highly skilled, knowledgeable and ready to participate in the industry.

Because of our strategic partnerships with businesses, agencies and other faculties at UNB, our programs offer hands-on learning options that are unique in North America, including:

Connecting business education to industry

The Faculty of Management has an advisory board composed of business leaders from across Canada. They advise the Dean and faculty to ensure our programs meet the evolving needs of the business world.
