Learn and experience entrepreneurship

Expand your entrepreneurial know-how, build your network, and learn the ins and outs of a startup with help from the International Business & Entrepreneurship Centre (IBEC).

IBEC fosters partnerships between UNB and the business community through experiential learning, research and training. Because of these partnerships our programs and events offer many interesting networking opportunities throughout the year.

Housed within the Faculty of Management at the University of New Brunswick, we help students learn and experience entrepreneurship.

Venture Analyst Leadership Program

Ever thought of starting your own business?

The Venture Analyst Leadership Program pairs students with entrepreneurs looking to launch their business, connecting you with a pool of bright people who have a wealth of expertise to share, right here at UNB. Turning these ideas into commercially viable ventures will be your job. Are you up for the task?

BMO Financial Group APEX Business Plan Competition

We host the only business plan competition in Atlantic Canada, the BMO Financial Group APEX Business Plan Competition. If you're an aspiring entrepreneur, this competition offers you the chance to compete in both undergraduate and graduate level competitions, and to meet student entrepreneurs from across Canada.

Export Partnering Program

UNB’s Export Partnering Program gives students the opportunity to work with a team of people with the same goal: to export. The program matches student teams with participating companies and gives the opportunity to research international market opportunities and prepare market entry strategies. In this program you learn the strategies and apply them to real business scenarios.

IBEC Speaker Series

Speaker Series takes entrepreneurial education to the next level, IBEC brings in entrepreneurs to speak with students and tell their stories. Students learn from with real entrepreneurs who have “been there and done that.”
