Learning at UNB

UNB is focused on teaching excellence, world-class research and helping students to achieve their academic goals, making it a great place for students to learn and broaden their skills. With campuses in Fredericton and Saint John, you'll find a welcoming community with lots to do.

Professors

Professors will guide your learning every step of the way. They are accessible and get students involved in innovative research to introduce new ideas and new ways of thinking. UNB conducts approximately 75 per cent of all university research in the province.

Class sizes

UNB's student-to-faculty ratio is only 15:1.

At UNB you are more than a number, we are ranked among the top comprehensive universities in Canada in the category of faculty-student ratio by Maclean's magazine. Our small class sizes and low student-to-professor ratio mean professors get to know their students by name.

Academic support

Our resources are designed to meet your needs and support your student experience at UNB. We’ll help you explore your interests, set goals and reach your full academic potential.

You can get feedback on a paper, learn how to prepare for exams, find a tutor for one of your courses or find an academic advisor to help guide you through your program.
