Our faculty members are internationally recognized for their research contributions and are often invited participants at major research venues.
We have well-established MSc and PhD programs, and we host several post-doctoral researchers and research visitors.
Our department is home to the Applied Statistics Centre which provides statistical consultation for UNB researchers and the community at large.
Several of our faculty are affiliate members of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, one of the leading institutes for the study of fundamental physics in the world.
We are also a member of the Atlantic Computational Excellence Network (ACEnet), which is a consortium of Atlantic Universities dedicated to providing high-performance computing facilities to the research community. Our research personnel thus have access to several world-class supercomputing facilities dispersed throughout Canada.
