Certificate in Business Administration, Level I

The Certificate in Business Administration Level I program is designed to help working adults gain the business skills and knowledge to help them advance in their careers.

This program is open to all interested individuals but admission requires prior approval from the Faculty of Management.

Requirements

A Certificate in Business Administration Level I will be awarded to those who achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 over the 36 credit hours required, and successfully complete 36 credit hours (with a C or better) as follows:

  • ADM 1192 | Business Planning and Entrepreneurship (3 credit hours)
  • ADM 1213 | Financial Accounting (3)
  • ADM 1313 | Principles of Marketing (3)
  • ADM 1513 | Organizational Behaviour (3)
  • ADM 2413 | Principles of Finance (3)
  • ADM 2623 | Business Statistics (3)
  • PHIL 2203 | Ethical Issues in Business (3)
  • ECON 1013 | Principles of Microeconomics (3)
  • ECON 1023 | Principles of Macroeconomics (3)

You'll also need three credit hours of electives from any faculty as well as six credit hours of social sciences chosen from the following:

  • Anthropology
  • Political Science
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
