Get involved

Sustainability at UNB is something everyone can take part in. Whether you’re interested in learning more, joining campus initiatives or making small everyday changes, there are plenty of meaningful ways to contribute.

Ways to get involved in sustainability at UNB

Everyday ways to be a more sustainable UNB community member

  • Bring your own travel mug, water bottle, utensils, food containers, shopping bags, and more to reduce waste.
  • To conserve energy, turn off the lights, and unplug devices and appliances when you are not using them.
  • Turn off the taps and use only what you need to conserve water.
  • Eat more local foods and try eating less meat.
  • Continue learning and talking about climate change and sustainability with your friends and family.
  • Opt for biking, carpooling or taking public transit for your commute to campus when it works for you to help reduce emissions from single occupancy vehicles.
