Giving to UNB

Message from the President

Paul Mazerolle, UNB President and Vice ChancellorThe 2020-21 academic year has been unlike any in UNB’s 235-year history. We have faced extraordinary challenges and succeeded, thanks to the incredible response of our university community.

Our donors have helped to ensure that UNB can provide a safe learning environment while generating the research that our province, nation and global community need to return to growth.

Your kind and generous support has taught our students that we are capable of achieving amazing things provided we work collaboratively and with resilience toward common goals. For this, I am extremely grateful.

Every day, UNB is putting research and innovation to work in serving the public good with the help of benefactors like you. Recently we launched The McKenna Institute to help drive digital transformation in New Brunswick. In Saint John, we have launched the Integrated Health Initiative to enable health system reform and sustainability. These signature initiatives will create a future-focused generation of health workers, digital entrepreneurs, social innovators and public service administrators: the changemakers of tomorrow.

UNB has an essential role to play in helping people find their way in a changing, challenging world. This Donor Impact Report illustrates why the world needs more UNB and what we can achieve by working together.

Thank you for your continued support. I hope to see many of you in the coming year.

Dr. Paul J. Mazerolle
President and Vice-Chancellor
