AFRC Work groups

One of the ways the AFRC delivers on its mission to enhance collaborative research and professional capacity is through its member-led Work Group (WG) activities.

WG are formed to address a specific priority research question articulated by the AFRC Advisory Board. All members are entitled to assign one or more staff having knowledge to contribute. WG members external to the AFRC may also contribute particular expertise.

WG provide opportunity for exchange of ideas, knowledge sharing among researchers, forest practitioners and managers. WG monitor emerging issues and opportunities. They scope and write project proposals for external funding.

The WG work to consensus and met as often as required.
