Nanocomposites and Mechanics (NCM) Lab

Mission statement

To execute a research and technology development program focusing on the development and integration of high-strength, lightweight materials, and surface-protective, nano-scale, material-activated technology solutions for structure lightening and early detection and prevention of material failure due to hot corrosion/cracking, high-impact fatigue erosion/abrasion wear, and high-speed ballistic/kinetic threats. The work is driven by the need for industry-relevant solutions in a fast-paced advanced materials and manufacturing world.

CANCOM 2022

The Canadian Association for Composite Structures and Materials (CACSMA) is announcing its biennial international conference to take place in scenic Atlantic Canada. The 12th Canadian-International Conference on Composites, CANCOM 2022, will be held in Fredericton (the capital of New Brunswick) and Moncton (the business hub of the province) from July 12-15, 2022.

Since its inception, CANCOM has been Canada's largest technical forum facilitating the exchange of technological know-how, research state-of-art, and innovation challenge related to composite materials, by bringing together Canadian and international delegates from industry, academia, government, non-governmental organizations, and vendor suppliers.

Please mark your calendar, and come and join CANCOM 2022 - Research & Innovation in Composites.
