Nanocomposites and Mechanics (NCM) Lab
Mission statement
To execute a research and technology development program focusing on the development and integration of high-strength, lightweight materials, and surface-protective, nano-scale, material-activated technology solutions for structure lightening and early detection and prevention of material failure due to hot corrosion/cracking, high-impact fatigue erosion/abrasion wear, and high-speed ballistic/kinetic threats. The work is driven by the need for industry-relevant solutions in a fast-paced advanced materials and manufacturing world.
