Honours programs in the Department of Psychology

Students in the Department of Psychology may pursue honours programs in:

  • BA honours psychology,
  • BA joint honours (psychology and another arts discipline),
  • BA honours Specialization in Neuroscience,
  • BSc honours psychology option, or
  • Concurrent BA/BSc (honours psychology or honours psychology option, not both; also not honours Specialization in Neuroscience).

In order to be eligible for one of the above honours programs, students must:

  1. Have completed PSYC 1013, 1023, 2113, 2103/2123, four of 2203, 2313, 2403, 2603, 2613, or 2703, and one of 3151 or 3152. It is recommended to take PSYC 3113 prior to PSYC 4110.
  2. Have completed a minimum of 10 psychology courses by the end of the academic year at time of application.
  3. Have a MINIMUM cumulative GPA of 3.6 based on all their UNB psychology courses.

Completed applications should be submitted to the psychology honours coordinator (Emilie Lacroix) no later than April 15, 2022 for September 2022 entrance.
