How to Apply

Apply for your MBA program

Application process

Before completing your application, make sure you read through the following steps. Select the pathway that best aligns with your academic, professional and career goals:

Accelerated MBA (aMBA)

A 12-month pathway requiring 62.5 credit hours.

Immersive MBA (iMBA)

A 16-month pathway requiring 75 credit hours, including a four-month internship, faculty-supervised research project, or entrepreneurial business venture.

Applicants must select their pathway when applying because each pathway has different graduation requirements.

The admission requirements are the same for the Accelerated MBA and Immersive MBA pathways.


UNB’s online application is easy to use and allows you to upload documents and save your application at any stage.


You’ll need to upload the following additional documents:

  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • Copies of degrees or diplomas, where required
  • Resume
  • A statement of purpose
  • Three letters of reference, including at least one academic reference, submitted through the application portal
  • GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition, or GRE results, unless a waiver is granted
  • Proof of English-language proficiency, where applicable)

In some cases, the Admissions Committee may require a World Education Services (WES) credential evaluation report to verify the authenticity and Canadian equivalency of an applicant’s academic credentials.


Once your payment has been made and your application is complete, it will be sent to the department for review. Applications usually take four to six weeks to process, but may take longer, depending on volume.


Application deadlines

  • Full-time international students: June 15
  • Full-time domestic students: July 15
  • Merit award consideration: April 30
  • Part-time students: Any time

International applicants should apply early and allow sufficient time to obtain a Canadian study permit.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as they become complete. Early application is recommended because space in the program and individual program pathways and streams may be limited.
