Message from the dean

I am thrilled to be here in my 3rd year as Dean in the Faculty of Business. I see the faculty of business’ mission as providing an inspiring and inclusive environment for learning, discovery, and service through engagement, where we develop innovative, entrepreneurial leaders.

The student-focused culture, along with an emphasis on real-world problem-solving, engagement with the community and its various stakeholders and how the Saint John campus has embraced interdisciplinary approaches to both established and new, innovative programs attracted me from the get-go. I am of the view that leadership isn’t based on an individual possessing specific leadership traits, but that it reflect a person’s ability to bring out the best in one’s people/teams and to create an environment where people can ‘lead’ in their own individual ways.

Again, I’m thrilled to be here, and I look forward to many years of supporting UNB Saint John business students, staff and faculty in our collective efforts to build a better city, province and extended global community.
