Graduate scholarships

Apply by May 1

Submit one application to be considered for scholarships offered by the School of Graduate Studies. Current graduate students should submit an application between January 1 - May 1 to be considered for scholarship support.

UNB Graduate Students have access to over 160 graduate awards generously funded by donors including current and former UNB students, faculty, and staff as well as many friends of UNB.

Many more graduate awards are handled by individual department and follow an internal application or nomination process. Students should inquire of their home Graduate Academic Units (GAU's) for details about these awards.

• December 1 - Deadline for NSERC/SSHRC/CIHR Masters Scholarship applications.
• January 20 - Deadline for NSERC/SSHRC/CIHR Undergraduate Research Award applications.
• January 27 - First deadline for PhD and Masters Recruitment Award applications.
• March 17 - Second deadline for PhD and Maters Recuitment Award applications.
• March 31 - Deadline for Travel Award applications.
• May 1 - Deadline for current UNB students to submit an application for scholarship support.
• June 1 - Deadline for Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement applications.
• October 1 - Deadline for Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement applications.
