As a student, two gifts shaped the life and career of Margot Roach. Thanks to these awards she was able to devote her energy to studying and participting in university life without financial pressures. It is because of this experience that Margot became a benefactor of UNB, and her final act of kindness was to include a bequest to the university in her will.
