Fall Orientation

We are excited to welcome the entire first year class to UNB. You are embarking on an exciting time full of new experiences, opportunities, and challenges. We are thrilled to let you know we are here for you every step of the way and plan to make your UNB experience, especially in Science, one you will never forget.

What does faculty orientation day consist of:

Lots of prizes to win sweatshirts, t-shirts, movie gift cards, a backpack, and more!


8:45am - UNB Commencement Ceremony

10:00am - Welcome to Science "Let's Get To Know U"

10:30am - "Science Survivor"

12:00pm - "Meet-Greet-n-Eat" Luncheon (students, peer mentors, faculty, and staff)

1:00pm - Science Trivia

1:30pm - "Success in 90" (meet your first year professors and hear how to be successful)

3:00pm - "Science 1001" (meet your peer mentor facilitator and peers in your class)  

Course Advising and Registration: After Science 1001 students in need of academic advising and course registration are asked to see Angela Regier at the Science Student Services office.

Faculty Tours: The peer mentors will also be offering group tours to all students interested in finding their first year classes.

Academic Assistance During The Year

The Associate and Assistant Deans of Science are available throughout the year to assist you with any concerns, questions, or guidance you may need during your studies here at UNB. You can pre-arrange an appointment or drop-in to the Science Students Services Office. Our office is located in Room S118, in the Science Concourse beside the Science Library. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
