Experimental Graduates: Where are they now?

Graduates of our experimental program are employed in various fields, including academia, government, and the private sector. Below is some information on what our recent and forthcoming graduates are doing.

Jordan Schriver is currently completing his PhD. He has been working as a full-time Assistant Professor of Psychology at Crandall University since Fall 2019, teaching a variety of psychology courses.

Lucy Huang is currently completing her PhD. She has been working as a full-time Assistant Professor of Psychology at Crandall University since Summer 2021, teaching various courses in psychology.

Dr. Emily Vogels received her PhD in Fall 2021. She has been working as a full-time Research Associate at the Pew Research Center in Washington, DC, since Summer 2019.

Dr. Matthew McDowell obtained his PhD in Spring 2018.  He currently works with FNTI as Manager of Data Collection and Institutional Analysis.  In addition, he operates Strategic Directions, a polling and research company based in Kingston Ontario. 

Dr. Shelley Delano Parker obtained her PhD in Spring 2017. She is the psychologist at NBPower, responsible for creating the program that enabled them to receive two gold medals for safety - psychological safety and safety culture.

Dr. Ashley Thompson obtained her PhD in Spring 2016. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Duluth, as a part of The College of Education and Human Service Professions. 

Dr. Sarah Vannier received her PhD in Spring 2016 and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Dalhousie University. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at St. Thomas University teaching a variety of courses in psychology.

Dr. Randi Doyle obtained her PhD in Fall 2015. She is an Assistant Professor of Social Sciences at the Minerva Schools at Keck Graduate Institute in San Francisco.

Dr. Tracy Freeze received her PhD in Spring 2012. She currently works with Horizon Health as a SOAR Research Methodologist, where she provides statistical and methodological support. She previously worked as an Associate Professor at Crandall University.

Dr. Ryan Hamilton obtained his PhD in Spring 2011. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of New Brunswick and the mental performance coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League.

Dr. Bryn Robinson obtained her PhD in Fall 2010. She is the Research Engagement Manager for Horizon Health Network in Saint John, facilitating patient and staff engagement in research and the alignment of research programs with the communities served by Horizon. She is also an Honorary Research Associate at the University of New Brunswick Saint John.                                                                            

Dr. Cheryl Techentin obtained her PhD in Spring 2009. She is currently a Professor at Mount Royal University for the Department of Psychology in Alberta.
