Financial assistance

The Department offers internal funding opportunities to support full‑time graduate students in the Master of Economics program through Graduate Research Awards (GRAs). A GRA is a scholarship intended to support students in their program of study and is awarded on a competitive basis, with selection determined primarily by academic merit. To be eligible for internal funding, students must be enrolled full‑time in the research‑based stream of the program.

We also offer Graduate Student Teaching Assistantships (GSTAs) to qualified graduate students in the Master of Economics program. GSTA positions typically involve duties such as marking assignments, assisting with tutorials, or supporting instructors with course-related tasks. These positions provide valuable academic experience in addition to financial support.
