Hadi Eslami

Marketing

Hadi Eslami’s research expertise lies in marketing strategies, innovation and management of New Product Development (NPD), and interorganizational research. He conducts empirical research at the interface of Innovation Strategies and Interorganizational research—with a focus on small firms’ new product performance having managed their interfirm relationships with various partners along the process of product development process.

Dr. Eslami has also researched Consumer Incivility and Aggression, Marketing Channels, and Hotels’ Corporate Social Responsibilities.

Current projects

Innovation and New Product Development (NPD): Funding received so far $35,000 ($20,000 Doctoral SSHRC and $15,000 Ontario Research Funds (OGS)); Role: Principal Investigator. Dr. Eslami’s paper was one of only 49 selected for presentation at the prestigious R&D Management Conference at HEC Paris in June 2019; two papers underway.

Poverty reduction in the City of Saint John by taking the first step of creating a data platform: Funding received so far $45,000 (Mitacs Accelerate Award); Role: Supervisor; Two papers underway.

Addressing Healthy Aging such as Alternate Level of Care (ALC) and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) using Machine Learning and AI: Funding Received so far $45,000 (McMaster Institute of Research on Aging (MIRA)); Role: Co-investigator; Several working papers.

Customer incivility, consumer fighting for satisfaction, and the role of apology in service recovery; one paper accepted in ASAC and ready for journal submission; two more papers underway.

The regional and national economic development role of small high-tech firms.
