Hadi Eslami joined the University of New Brunswick Saint John in July 2017. He has a PhD in Marketing from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University (2018) and also holds an MBA in Multimedia & Marketing and a degree in Electrical Engineering. During his tenure as a PhD candidate at McMaster University, Dr. Eslami won the McMaster University Excellence in Teaching Assistance Award. Dr. Eslami teaches courses in Marketing Management, Marketing on the Internet, and International Business.

Dr. Eslami has supervised undergraduate students on their real-life marketing projects with local small businesses. Hadi is keen to teach a vast spectrum of marketing courses; from introductory courses in Marketing, Consumer Motivation (Behaviour), and Service Marketing to Applied Marketing Management and Marketing Research & Methods; and from Innovation and New Product Development to Small Business Management.

Hadi Eslami’s research expertise lies in marketing strategies, innovation and management of New Product Development (NPD), and interorganizational research. He conducts empirical research at the interface of Innovation Strategies and Interorganizational research—with a focus on small firms’ new product performance having managed their interfirm relationships with various partners along the process of product development process.

Dr. Eslami has also conducted research in Consumer Incivility and Aggression, Marketing Channels, and Hotels’ Corporate Social Responsibilities. He has presented his research at several conferences such as American Marketing Association (AMA) and Institute for the Studies of Business Markets (ISBM).

A select few of Hadi’s academic recognitions include Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Doctoral Fellowship, the McMaster University Teaching Assistant Excellence Awards, International Excellence Award, and Best Conference Paper Award.
