Donovan started playing volleyball in grade 8 at the age of 13. He had to skip grade 9 as his school didn't have a team but he has played every year since then. Donovan plays middle and was team captain in grade 11 and 12 years at Hampton High School. He received MVP for the team in my 2008-2009 season and Male Academic Athlete my 2009-2010 season. He has the potential to be a real leader with the Seawolves.

Donovan's favourite part about playing volleyball is "the feeling I get when I make a really hard hit or a big block. I also love the team aspect of playing volleyball."

In addition to sports, Donovan was a member of the Hampton High School rugby team, robotics team, was part of the table crew for volleyball and basketball games, volunteered with Peer Helper and Big Brothers/Big Sisters, was a canvasser for the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, participated in Relay for Life and was the president of the Hampton United Church Youth Group.

"I am really looking forward to playing with a more experienced team this year, and I'd really like to make it to the Championship game," says Donovan.  He further explains that the team has a great work ethic; showing up early and staying late at each practice.  "We work our hardest and because of this I think our team has what it takes to bring home an ACAA banner".
