Dakota Lutes
Home Town: Saint John, NB
High School: Saint John High School
Degree: Bachelor of Arts
3rd yr with the Seawolves
Dakota started playing volleyball in grade 11 at Saint John High School. He obviously had a talent for the sport because in his senior year he was named team captain, which is a pretty significant feat for someone who only played one year prior to that.
He was also captain of the football team. Dakota is a multi-sport athlete and spent the fall season playing for the Seawolves football club. He is really looking forward to playing volleyball at the university level and wants to become a better overall volleyball player.
Dakota particularly enjoys the competition on the court in games and practice and especially likes the blocking aspect of the game. "Nothing feels better than going up to the net and getting a big block."
Dakota has made the mental switch from playing football to playing volleyball and would like to increase his vertical jump and become a more dangerous and effect player for the team. In his second season with the Seawolves he is anxious to see the progress that has taken place over the past year and is hopeful to qualify for playoffs.
