Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) program

An efficient way to learn

Are you looking to improve your grades in first year Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Physics? Meet new people and develop friendships? Enhance your study skills? Have a better understanding of concepts and topics discussed in class?

Take part in a learning session linked specifically to first-year courses in:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Earth Sciences
  • Physics

You can attend any number of these one-hour sessions scheduled throughout each week.

During each session, we will examine, clarify and expand upon course topics and content.

Upper-level students will help you to improve your grades and manage your workload. They meet regularly with the program coordinator and the course professors to help you with your courses.

You will work with students with strong GPAs who are approachable and trained for this role.

The listings of PAL sessions with times and room locations can be found on your D2L Brightspace, on the science digital boards, science library and posted at the science student services office.

For more information, contact the science student services office at 453-4586 or sci.connect@unb.ca.
