Starter packages beginning at just $110

REDS Recreation’s staff of certified trainers can guide, support, and motivate you on your health and wellness journey. Our trainers will:

  • Provide you with the best workout routine for your individual needs
  • Maximize your results in less time
  • Offer guidance for injury rehabilitation and prevention

REDS Recreation members can take advantage of a starter package — which includes an initial assessment plus two 1-hour personal training sessions — for just $110!  

The fee for non-members is $130.

How to register

Contact Walker Blizzard, Strength Centre & Training Coordinator, at walker.blizzard@unb.ca or 506-458-7532. Clients may also complete our Personal Training Inquiry Form.

Walker will assign a personal trainer who best meets your needs. The trainer will then contact you to set up a time for your initial assessment.


Initial assessment + consultation: Your trainer will gather the information that is necessary to design a program specific to your needs.

The initial assessment will consist of:

  • Paperwork (GAQ and health history form)
  • Blood pressure and heart rate
  • A discussion of your exercise history and your fitness goals
  • Physical assessment (Metabolic systems, gait, mobility and movement, strength, flexibility etc.)

Before your initial assessment ends, schedule your next training session.

After the initial assessment, your trainer will design a program that works for your goals and your needs. They will go through your program in detail at the next session.

Once your first session is complete, you and your trainer can decide how many sessions you will need/want to help achieve your health and fitness goals.

*Follow the same steps when scheduling group training. Group training can accommodate 2-5 individuals. All members of the group must be present at the initial assessment and all scheduled sessions.
