The Faculty of Education and associated institutes and centres offer many research opportunities and partnerships through which research and studies are undertaken relating to best practices, educational policy and program development and delivery.

Research institutes and centres

The Mi’Kmaq-Wolastoqey Centre (MWC) promotes the professional growth and self-determination of First Nations through its programs, services and research.

The Second Language Research Institute of Canada (L2RIC) is an internationally-recognized leader in the field of second language education.

The UNB Early Childhood Centre has a 20-year history of extensive research and development in early education including early literacies, family literacies, early learning and child care and early years curriculum.

The Health and Education Research Group (HERG) develops applied health and education research initiatives that may be used to inform practice and policy development.

The Canadian Research Institute for Social Policy (CRISP) is dedicated to conducting policy research aimed at improving the education and care of Canadian children and youth.
