Course registration process

It is important to get to know your course instructor at the start of the term. Access to your course materials in D2L will be available within 24 hours of registration for courses in the current term your attending. If you register for a course in a future term, access will be granted on the first day of that term.

Courses will be available to students by the first day of classes each term. Some instructors may make your courses visible in D2L the week prior to term, but it is not mandatory that they do so. Please contact your course instructor if you are not seeing your course in D2L on the first day of term. If you encounter difficulty reaching out to your instructor, please write to D2L@unb.ca for assistance.

Registration support is available on the Registrar's Office internal site.

For current students, you should consult with your Academic Advisor to confirm the Online Open Entry Course(s) you have chosen are acceptable toward fulfilling your degree requirements.

If so, you must complete your Online Open Entry Course work no later than the last day of the examination schedule for the term in which you are enrolled.

If so, you should speak with your Academic Advisor as most programs require all course work to be completed at the end of the examination period in the academic term preceding the work term.

Find your Undergraduate Academic Advisor for the Fredericton campus or the Saint John campus.

Online open entry courses follow the Undergraduate Calendar of Academic Dates for registration deadlines, last date to add/drop courses, last date to withdraw without academic penalty, and last date to withdraw with academic penalty.

Government student loan programs (Canadian and US) require courses be completed within the traditional academic term. Learn more about taking online courses when you have a student loan.
