FOR3006Forest Management Foundations4 ch (3C 3L) (EL)

This course builds on concepts introduced in its prerequisites but concentrates more specifically on forest management as a discipline. It begins with a brief introduction and history of forest management in Canda, then explores the fundamental principles of forest management planning, including determing the scope and scale of management situations, characterizing and valuing forests to support management objectives, and estimating and projecting forest values over time to facilitate planning strategies.

Prerequisites: FOR 2006, FOR 3005, or permission of instructor.
