Mercy Oyet

Organizational behaviour and human resource management

My research interests are primarily in the area of workplace interpersonal mistreatment from the target, perpetrator, and bystander perspectives. I am presently investigating a number of outcomes associated with the experience of workplace interpersonal mistreatment, including targets’ decision to remedial voice, the factors that influence this decision, and the implications associated with engaging in in this form of voice.

I am also interested in understanding the implications associated with observing workplace interpersonal mistreatment, including the impact this has on observers’ relationships with their organizations. I am currently working on developing a research program in which I will investigate the spillover effects of experienced workplace interpersonal mistreatment into targets’ other work and life domains.”
