Health

  • UNB's Integrated Health Initiative is addressing Canada's most challenging and important issue, the delivery of effective, efficient and sustainable health care.
  • The UNB Centre for Adaptive Rehabilitation Engineering is building off six decades of specialized research leadership in a unique Canadian facility that provides state of the art equipment and facilities to research and provide clinical care for mobility rehabilitation.

Climate Change

  • UNB Centre for Nuclear Energy Research works on many projects, including their work to advance Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology, which is poised to play an important role in green energy.

  • UNB researcher Dr. Thierry Chopin is working with government and industry to develop sustainable aquaculture practices that will feed a hungry world and protect the environment.
  • UNB is proud to host Parks Canada's first research chair in Aquatic Restoration. Dr. Kurt Samways' work builds on the UNB’s strong focus and significant expertise in marine, coastal and freshwater science and helps students get hands-on experience in conservation biology and species at risk recovery.
