We are excited you have chosen UNB Saint John. Spring Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) is an in-person event that will take place on Saturday, May 9.

SOAR is the start of your UNB journey and will prepare you for all aspects of undergraduate student life.

SOAR is for parents and supporters, too

Parents and supporters are invited to attend SOAR with your student. We know that your student starting university is a transition for you as well, and we want to help you understand what to expect.

What can you expect from your SOAR experience?

SOAR will include a series of programs for both incoming students and their parents and supporters.

For students

  • Start off with a combined welcome in the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre
  • Attend faculty-specific programming to get to know your program and prepare for fall
  • Stop by our information fair featuring services and supports across UNB
  • Ask questions and explore resources as you begin your new adventure.

For parents and supporters

  • Start with a combined welcome alongside your student in the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre
  • Attend specific programming in Oland Hall while students are in faculty sessions
  • Take pare in Information stations showcasing campus services and supports in a trade-show style format
