Spring Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) is an in-person event that will take place on Saturday, May 9, from noon to 4 p.m.
SOAR is the start of your UNB journey and will prepare you for all aspects of undergraduate student life.
We encourage you to check out one of Fredericton’s wonderful brunch or lunch locations before attending as there will be limited food options available on campus due to summer hours and renovations. We cannot wait to welcome you to campus.
SOAR is for parents and supporters, too
Parents and supporters are invited to attend SOAR with your student. We know this is a transition for you as well, and we want you to help you understand what to expect.
What can you expect from your SOAR experience?
SOAR will include a series of programs for both incoming students and their parents and supporters.
For students
- Begin in the Student Union Building with a welcome
- Attend faculty-specific sessions to get to know your program and prepare for fall
- Return to the Student Union Building for an information fair featuring UNB services and supports
- Ask questions and explore resources as you start your new adventure
For parents and supporters
- Start in the Student Union Building alongside your student for the welcome
- Attend dedicated programming while students are in faculty sessions
- Join a session within your student’s faculty
- Wrap up with information stations showcasing campus services and supports in a trade show-style format
