Harriet Irving Library

Fredericton

There are three main librarys on the Fredericton campus: Harriet Irving Library (HIL), Science & Forestry Library (SciFor) and Engineering and Computer Science Library. Each of these provides members of the UNB Community the chance to borrow many items to fit your needs, including:

  • Laptops & Laptop Adapters
  • Phone, Tablet & Ebook Chargers
  • Cables & Adapters
  • Appliance energy meters
  • Calculators, Arduinos, Raspberry Pis & Misc.

The Engineering and Computer Science Library also provides tools intended for small household projects, with a loan period of 3 days. To find out more about this initiative contact Saran Croos.

Additionally, the UNB community has access to the Makers Space; a workshop and design studio providing the equipment for Makers to share ideas and techniques, while creating prototypes or projects more sustainably.

Hans W. Klohn Commons Library

Saint John

The Hans W. Klohn Commons is home to the UNB Saint John campus library and to other important resources and services. At the Commons, you can borrow a laptop, digital camera, tripod, microphone, and other IT equipment.

Additionally, located in Uptown Saint John at 100 Princess Street, we encourage the UNB community to join the Saint John Tool Library as a way to access tools for your personal projects, as well as attend classes for common and requested DIY skills.
