At Teaching & Learning Services, we’re here to help you develop as a teacher, to support you in your continual efforts to improve your courses and engage your students. Caroline Purdy, TLS Director and Richard Duijnstee, Instructional Designer for assistance with instructional issues you are exploring. Emily Clark & Jeff Mundee, Instructional Technology Specialists, can help you integrate technological tools into your teaching.

New Faculty Orientation workshop - 2012We host a variety of events and workshops focused on teaching and learning. Examples of topics that have recently been addressed are: presentation skills, instructional design, personal response systems, research ethics of educational research, etc. Notes and handouts from our workshops are posted on the Teaching & Learning Services D2L Brightspace page.

For new and future professors, the Diploma in University Teaching provides an excellent introduction to teaching at the post-secondary level.

For those looking for a self-paced professional development option, we offer access to the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) Modules for Faculty Development. These can be found on the Teaching & Learning Services D2L site.
