Karina is a project management professional with 20 years’ experience. She has a diverse project-driven and results oriented portfolio in government, post-secondary education, non- profits, international business expansion, sales, and brand development. Employed as a Project Manager with UNB’s Office of the President, she is overseeing the Engineering & Computer Science Renewal (ECSR) portfolio, and project managing UNB’s Diversity Dialogues.

Prior to this, Karina worked in many areas within the Government of New Brunswick (GNB). Most recently, she played a key role in the project management of COVID Core, Public Safety, Community Capacity & Resiliency initiatives. In the onset of the COVID pandemic, Karina was the Lead Project Manager for GNB’s Business Continuity, Data & Analytics Unit. She supported the work needed to stand-up data and dashboards to drive evidence-based decision making. Delivering, designing, and coaching individuals in project and initiative management is not new to Karina, she’s worked with many executives and leaders within the provincial government, providing guidance on priority projects.

During 2011 to 2019, Karina held the position as the Strategic Enrolment Manager (SEM) with the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD). She employed change management and process improvement techniques to transform the Office of the Registrar, the College Library, Counselling Services, Student Services, Marketing, and Recruitment, at the College. She led an innovative digital transformation approach to recruiting and marketing, positioning NBCCD as a competitive post-secondary centre of excellence in art, craft and design within the Atlantic provinces. Some of her accomplishments include, launching NBCCD’s website and brand, the implementation of a student information management system, the design of an integrated admissions process and the establishment of a MARCOM strategy – pivotal to the College’s ability to surpass enrolment numbers during her leadership.

Working with young adults and volunteer groups is a passion of Karina’s. She attributes this to her fond experiences as the Western District, Manager at the NB Canadian Cancer Society, and when she led many community fundraising events with Residential Life at UNB. She believes we are all capable of the extraordinary, and as a transformational leader she thrives to inspire, educate on project management processes, and promote the value of discipline in leadership for achieving the wins.

Karina is a part-time instructor at UNB: Practicing Leadership in Community Projects.
