Hana Qiu

Hana Qiu is a proud alumna of our MBA Program on the Saint John Campus, having graduated in 2011 with a concentration in general management. In her current role at UNB, she works closely with a team of six members and the director and is responsible for program development and planning. Hana scans academic and industry resources regularly to assist in identifying emerging markets for student recruitment and opportunities in MBA education. Hana is also responsible for identifying and assessing potential new lines of business; preparing project proposals; and managing negotiation activities with partners.

In her previous role with the MBA program she worked with her colleagues to provide a comprehensive service package for students from initial prospect contact to post graduate transition. Her primary responsibilities in this process included identification of markets; development and implementation of recruitment strategies; engagement, assessment and retention of prospective students; degree and program of study advising; support of a successful and satisfying application process adapted to students’ unique needs; transition from prospect to student; and creation of a smooth transition between arrival and settlement into the student community.
