Hilary du Cros is an honorary research associate within the Faculty of Business at UNB Saint John. She holds a doctoral degree from Monash University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney.

Dr. du Cros has taught in Hong Kong and Macau and has conducted research and consulting in the Asia Pacific region over last 30 years. She has a unique perspective on culture, heritage and arts management, tourism and on sustaining cultural diversity. Dr du Cros also has a long history of active involvement in organizations on a national and international level, such as United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and UNESCO.

Dr. du Cros has published over 120 pieces, including books, journal articles, conference papers, monographs and book chapters, and written over 250 consulting reports.

Her books include one with Yok-shiu F. Lee on “Cultural Heritage Management in China” (2007) and the popular textbook with Bob McKercher on “Cultural Tourism: The Partnership between Tourism and Cultural Heritage Management” (2002). Most recent academic books include “Cultural Tourism” with Bob McKercher (2014) and “The Arts and Events” with Lee Jolliffe (2014) for Routledge Academic Publishers, UK.
