Campus health measures

UNB takes the health and safety of our community very seriously. We continue to work with New Brunswick Public Health and WorkSafeNB to ensure UNB’s approach is managed and phased appropriately.

It is imperative that we continue to follow recommendations of Public Health for preventing communicable disease. These include washing your hands frequently, coughing into your elbow, continuing to physical distance when possible, staying at home when sick and getting tested when symptomatic.

Face mask guidelines

Non-medical face masks are required at the university. Our guidelines on the use of community face masks explain when and where you must wear a mask.

COVID rapid testing

Regular COVID-19 rapid testing provides enhanced protection for the UNB community. See COVID rapid testing for more information on who is exempt, how rapid testing works and the testing and vaccination frequently asked questions.

Proof of vaccination

Proof of vaccination is required to access some events, services, and businesses on campus.

Spaces on campuses

We have room-specific health protective measures and safety protocols on our campuses.

Self-isolation for students

International students arriving in New Brunswick from outside of Canada must self-isolate for 14 days based on vaccination status. Learn more about self-isolation requirements.
