COVID-19 update

Nov. 3, 2022

As we continue to live with COVID-19, we encourage you to assess and manage your personal risk and make decisions to decrease your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

COVID-19 health measures will be adjusted as follows beginning Monday, Nov. 14:

  • Face masks will continue to be required in classrooms and instructional spaces only.
  • Face masks may now be removed in shared indoor spaces on campus, including transitioning between classes, offices and travelling through common areas. See UNB face mask requirements for more information.
  • Plexiglass barriers may be removed.
  • UNB remains a mask-friendly environment and we encourage those who wish to wear masks on campus to do so.

To protect the health and safety of our community, we strongly recommend faculty, staff and students be vaccinated and maintain COVID boosters and flu shots as available.

Faculty, students and staff are encouraged to stay home when sick and prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases by washing your hands frequently and coughing into your elbow.

These requirements will remain in place for the remainder of the term. We will reassess COVID requirements for the winter term based on the epidemiology of the virus, the presence of variants and vaccination regime recommendations by Public Health at that time.

Thank you for your continued support and for doing your part to keep our community safe.
