Fredericton campus plan

UNB Fredericton campus

The University of New Brunswick Fredericton campus plan was approved by the Board of Governors in October 2003.

Completed by planning and urban design firm, Brook McIlroy Inc., the plan provides a conceptual physical framework to accommodate the needs of the Fredericton campus as it evolves in the coming years.

The physical planning framework, is intended to facilitate campus development as the opportunity occurs, addressing issues such as building sites, parking, road and pedestrian circulation routes, campus gateways, interfaces with the surrounding community, environmental issues, safety and aesthetic quality of the buildings and landscaping.

The Fredericton campus is located predominantly in the City of Fredericton's Wellfield Protection Area. This legislated environmental consideration will be a key planning component of future campuse development plans.
