Notes: Please contact the Registrar's Office if you have questions about the list of elective courses or if you would like to recommend a course for consideration in this list.

General notes

  1. The admission average is your overall average of high school marks of university preparatory courses for admission to your selected program of study.
  2. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to any program.
  3. A pass at the high school level is required for each subject counted for admission (unless otherwise specified).
  4. To count for admission a subject must be taken at the Grade 12 "academic" level" (N.B. level 2) unless otherwise specified; level 1, French Immersion, and advanced courses are satisfactory substitutes (where they exist). Courses taken at the "general" or "open" levels will not be accepted for admission purposes.
  5. Students whose first language is French must offer French in place of English in the required subjects and may offer English as an elective.

Program-specific notes

Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for direct entry to the degree program, but offer a minimum admission average of 60% (and other conditions as may be required by the admitting faculty) may be given conditional admission to the appropriate faculty in an entrance program to the extent that capacity allows. Students with high academic standing may be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Science program if they present any two of three grade 12 Sciences. e.g. Biology/ Chemistry; Biology/Physics; Physics/Chemistry.

Additional notes

Please consult the general admissions notes for more information.

Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for direct entry to the Bachelor of Science degree program, but offer a minimum admission average of 70% (and other conditions as required by the admitting Faculty) may be given conditional admission in an entrance program to the extent that capacity allows.

Students intending to take the Bachelor of Health Science (BHS) degree are required to take Grade 12 academic Chemistry and Grade 11 academic Physics. Students who present only Chemistry will be considered at the discretion of the Faculty.

Students with high academic standing may be considered for admission if they present any two of the following courses: Grade 12 Biology, Grade 12 Chemistry, Grade 11 Physics, e.g. Biology/Chemistry; Biology/Physics; Physics/ Chemistry, etc.

It is recommended that students who have not taken any mathematics courses for more than two years take MATH 1863 Precalculus before attempting MATH 1001 or MATH 1003.

Students with less than 75% in each of the PRECALCA120 and PRECALCB120 (or equivalent) may want to consider taking MATH 1863 Precalculus before attempting MATH 1001 or MATH 1003.

Additional notes

Please consult the general admissions notes for more information.
