| Examines theories of leadership and their importance in management. It begins with an in-depth analysis of the conceptualization of leadership, recent models of leadership and the dimensions of managerial leadership behviour. Attention paid to the influence of leaders and the relationship between the concepts of power and leadership. Consideration is next directed to issues such as organizational leadership, the contingency paradigm and social and cultural contexts of effective leadership.
