2026-2027 BEd in ECE academic dates

These dates apply to the B.Ed program in Early Childhood Education.

Please refer to the UNB's Calendar of Academic Dates for other important dates, such as tuition due dates, course add/withdraw dates, and deadlines to opt out of student health and dental plan. Students registered in courses that do not follow the undergraduate Fall and Winter term start and end dates will receive specific course withdraw deadline dates from their academic advisor.

Fall term

Classes start Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. Classes end Friday, Dec. 18, 2026.

Monday 14 Last day for adding Block 1 Fall Term courses. Courses dropped up to and including this date not shown on academic transcript. After this date a notation of "W" (withdrawn no academic penalty) will be shown on the academic transcript.
Monday 21 Last day for payment of University Tuition fees.
Friday 25 Last day to opt-out of Student Union Health and Dental Plan for those students who entered in September.

October Thursday 8 Last day to drop Block 1 Fall courses without academic penalty. A grade of "W" (withdrawn) will be shown on your academic record. After this date a grade of "WF" (withdrawn fail) will apply.

Refund Policy for the Summer Term – May to Aug courses are based on the prorated fees from the first day of class up to the sixth
class. No refund will be issued after the sixth class.
*Except for essential services , most university offices will be closed on the dates indicated as "University Closed". Essential functions, for example, UNB Security & Traffic. Facilities Management and the Residences will be staffed and operational. Emergency maintenance may be arranged through the Security Department. A few departments and facilities such as the libraries and computer labs may offer some services on certain holidays. Those wishing to use such services on a holiday are advised to check with the specific department about operations for that day.
