Campus Information Displays (CID's)

  • Throughout campus there are information displays used to share information with the UNB community. 

Classroom Response Systems

  • Classroom Response System (CRS) is technology that promotes and implements active and cooperative learning. 
  • UNB has a campus wide site licence for Poll Everywhere.
  • Contact Kris Doucet, 648-5954, Hazen Hall 308 if you're interested in using Poll Everywhere in your classroom.

Classroom Technology

Computer Replacement

  • Professional Client Services will procure and install desktop and laptop computers on a four-year cycle to qualifying faculty and staff. The configuration of the desktop or laptop purchase will be based on the current Computing Devices tender.
  • PCS will also assist in computer, printer, monitor, and mobile device purchases that fall outside the four-year replacement cycle, as requested by faculty and staff.

D2L Brightspace

  • D2L is UNB's learning management system to help manage online elements of a course.

Multiple Choice Assessment Marking

  • Multiple choice assessments can be auto-graded but using D2L Quizzes online or using Crowdmark to generate bubble sheets for in-person multople choice assessments.

M365 services and tools are free for UNB faculty, staff, and students. Store files and documents online, share files with people inside and outside UNB, and access great features such as:
  • Online versions of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Co-Authoring
  • Versioning
  • Real-time chatting
  • Mobile device apps
  • Tools and services for productivity and collorboration

Access O365 several ways:

  • Visit the MyUNB Portal and select Office 365 from the Launch menu
  • Go to
  • Download O365 apps onto your mobile device
  • Login to the Teams desktop app

Videoconferencing at UNB Saint John

There are several options for conducting video confernce calls on the Saint John campus. For details on how to create Skype for Business or MS Teams calls and for information on how the dedicated video conference suites work please see our Video Conferencing at UNB Saint John page.

All room bookings, including those that require video conferencing are done through Conference Services. If video conference support is required Conference Services will inform ISS and we will provide you with the tools you need to have a sucessful meeting.

  • Information Services & Systems offer short, effective training sessions on a variety of IT tools used by UNB staff and faculty such as D2L Brightspace, Poll Everywhere and the Microsoft 365 tools. Current offerings and course registration can be online
  • Microsoft 365, also known as M365 a la carte training is available online.
