Services for Faculty & Staff

Here are some of the services provided to faculty and staff by Information Services and Technology on the Saint John campus. 

Classroom Response Systems

  • Classroom Response System (CRS) is technology that promotes and implements active and cooperative learning. 
  • UNB has a campus wide site licence for Poll Everywhere.
  • Contact Kris Doucet, 648-5954, Hazen Hall 308 if you're interested in using Poll Everywhere in your classroom.

Classroom Technology

Computer Replacement

  • Professional Client Services will procure and install desktop and laptop computers on a four-year cycle to qualifying faculty and staff. The configuration of the desktop or laptop purchase will be based on the current Computing Devices tender.
  • PCS will also assist in computer, printer, monitor, and mobile device purchases that fall outside the four-year replacement cycle, as requested by faculty and staff.

D2L Brightspace

  • D2L is UNB's learning management system to help manage online elements of a course.

Scantron Marking

Videoconferencing at UNB Saint John

  • Oland Hall 203 (OH203) specifically designed for videoconferencing courses between our Saint John and Fredericton campuses. Can also be booked for meetings. It has a 20 person capacity with fixed, horseshoe style seating.
  • Oland Hall 120 (OH120) a meeting space with an 18 person capacity. Board room style seating.
  • Hans Klohn Commons 107 (HWK107) a meeting space with a 20 person capacity. Board room style seating.
  • Irving Hall 215 (IH215) a meeting space with a 10 person capacity. Board room style seating.
