The goal of the current project is to better understand current barriers and enablers to serving pan-Canadian health sector organizations with data analytic services. While the analysis will be carried out locally in New Brunswick (NB), this is a multi-provincial effort involving several regions across Canada. We will explore socio-demographics, comorbidities, treatment patterns, healthcare utilization, and costs. Results from this study will enhance our collective knowledge of SMA's impact across Canada and contribute to a single multi-jurisdictional report prepared for our funder, the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH). In generating this output, we aim to spotlight the current challenges and opportunities in data analytics within the health sector, setting the stage for future advancements in healthcare service delivery.
