Curriculum Context

Introduces students to lower-level computer operations and the association with higher-level procedural programming constructs. Topics include binary representation of data, instruction formats and execution, assembler programming, scope, functions, user-defined data types using both low- and high-level programming languages. Note: Credit cannot be obtained for CS 2253 by students who have completed both CS 2023 and CS 2813.


Requisites:
Take CS*2263 - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or Master degree in Computer Science. Demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter and relevant experience with teaching or professional presentations .Professional IT-related experience is a strong plus and teaching experience (DUT certificate is an asset).
