Course Description

Introduces the methods of data presentation and analysis, and their applications to business problems, including measures of data description, probability concepts and distributions, and statistical decision theory. Also considers sampling theorem, hypothesis testing using different techniques.

Prerequisite: Take 30 credits and MATH*1843 or MATH*1823 and MATH*1833 or equivalents.



Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Master's level degree in a field relevant to the topic area as well as for business disciplines having work or practice experience, or having been an actively serving member of a board of directors, or having had significant participation in professional associations or standard/policy-making bodies within the last five years. Consideration may be given to applicants possessing an undergraduate degree in combination with a relevant professional designation. Previous experience teaching in a university environment will be considered an asset.
