Course Description

Continuation of JPNS 1013. Focuses on communicative aspects as well as practice of reading and writing in Hiragana. Katakana and basic Kanji, the other writing system in Japanese, are introduced. Not open to native speakers. 



Qualifications

  • Master's (or graduate studies) in Japanese language or in a relevant discipline (Japanese culture, pedagogy, linguistics, etc.). 
  • Native or near-native proficiency in language of instruction (Japanese) and English. Instruction will be in English.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses at a university level.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.
