BIOL 2721 FR02A Human Physiology II and BIOL 2761 FR02A Human Physiology - Metabolism are two courses that are taught combined together. This consists of a lecture for BIOL 2721 and BIOL 2761 combined per week and four labs for BIOL 2721 per week.
The successful candidate will be teaching all sections of BIOL 2721 and BIOL 2761.

BIOL 2721 - This course is a continuation of BIOL 1782/BIOL 1789 with emphasis on metabolism, muscle and bone physiology, immune responses and healing. Limited enrollment; Kinesiology students have first priority. Biology honours, majors and minors cannot count this course as a Biology Credit, only as an elective. Students cannot obtain credit for BIOL 2761 and BIOL 2721.
BIOL 2761 - This is an introductory level course in human physiology. Selected topics covered include metabolism, muscle and bone physiology, the immune system, healing and homeostasis. Biology honours, majors and minors cannot count this course as a Biology Credit, only as an elective. NOTE: Credit will be given for only one of BIOL 2761, BIOL 2769, or BIOL 2721.
MSc and/or PhD in Biology or allied field, or equivalent experience. Experience teaching undergraduate lectures is an asset. Knowledge of human physiology and
understanding the clinical relevance of human physiology as well as a basic understanding of exercise physiology is essential. Able to apply basic physiological concepts to practical applications and should also have some knowledge of basic human anatomy especially in relationship to human physiology.
