BIOL 3207 has the lecture for both sections held on Tuesday 11:30 - 12:20

BIOL 3207 FR01B Lab held Wednesdays 2:30 - 6:20

Biol3207 is a multi-section microbiology lab course.  This course builds up on techniques and skills learned in Biol2028 and serves as a prerequisite for students applying to a number of different professional schools.  The one-hour weekly lecture provides the opportunity to introduce students to relevant lab safety concerns, and to share important theory to compliment lab protocols.  In this course students work with mold, viruses, and bacteria.  Labs are designed to provide students with opportunities to learn various culture, enumeration, and testing methods, as well as to become proficient with equipment and techniques commensurate with a microbiology lab.



Course Description

Biochemical, molecular and genetic methods are applied to the study of bacteria. Projects examine cell structure, function and physiological responses of bacteria.



Qualifications

Successful Applicant must be available to teach both sections of BIOL 3207 (FR01B & FR02B). 

MSc and PhD in Biology or allied field, or equivalent experience. Experience teaching undergraduate lectures is an asset.
