Curriculum Context

Elective Methods course in the Concurrent Education program.



Course Description

This education methods course will introduce students to the foundational theories and practices that inform French second language pedagogy, with specific focus on their application to French Immersion Elementary education. There will be emphasis placed on varied teaching methods, curriculum content, lesson design and assessment practices that are utilized in French Immersion programs. 



Qualifications

Minimum of a Masters Degree in Education,  and being a Certified Teacher in the Province of New Brunswick with at least 5 years experience teaching in the Elementary French Immersion program with a French Oral Linguistic Proficiency of 'Superior' on the NB second language proficiency scale, are required.

This course is subject to minimum enrolment, final budgetary approval, and instruction hour changes to meet minimum contact hours.
