Lower-level INDG offering
A multidisciplinary approach to the history and cultures of Indigenous Peoples focusing on interactions with European settlers. Emphasizes the myriad challenges faced by First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples within the historical and contemporary contexts of European colonialism in North America. Focus is also on decolonization as it pertains to governance and territorial rights, health and community, and language and education.
Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field and undergraduate teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D.
This course is subject to minimum enrolment, final budgetary approval, and instruction hour changes to meet minimum contact hours.
